Founder & Lead Pastor Coach
Rudy’s journey with Faith Nest began in one of the most challenging seasons of his ministry. When his predecessor announced with just four weeks’ notice that he was leaving for another church 100 miles away, Rudy found himself inheriting a church of about 100 people, a staff of 5 , and a mountain of responsibilities he never expected.
“I was handed the keys to a church where my mentor left, my new boss was at another campus with whom I had very little relationship, and the church board was also at the other campus,” Rudy recalls. “For lack of a better word, I was unsupported. I was on an island.”
“I inherited a burned-out staff, and when I got the keys, some saw the transition as an excuse to leave as well. I was working with a leadership team that didn’t really know me, and I didn’t really know them, and when I asked for help, they shut me down.”
The Challenge That Changed Everything
Rudy’s experience revealed a widespread problem in church leadership: pastors struggling alone without adequate support, training, or resources.
